A decision recently imposed by the traffic police, under the orders of traffic DIG, was reconsidered due to the intense public reaction and appeal. Female pillion riders were told to wear helmets. Oh the horror… -_-
Although this decision was for the safety of female pillion riders and will definitely reduce the percentage of motorcycle accidents, many women are reported to have said that it is difficult for them to manage a helmet whilst wearing abayas, bags and holding their kids all at the same time.
Here are some fuuny public reactions to the decision.

The traffic police are also looking to mandate wearing seat belts whilst driving cars and will launch a drive in this regard soon. I, for one, don’t think women’s heads are shockproof or have the super-human strength to handle bike accidents. So whatever the case, bravo Sindh Traffic police!
