Would you like to play instruments made of ice! Yes you read that right, there are instruments made up of ICE! Now one can literally play ice ice baby with instruments made from ice!
Ice sculptor Tim Linhart of Colorado carved one instrument out of ice, and since then he found himself unable to stop. Which almost sounds like some weird Kryptonite-fueled delirium, but for real, it’s something he discovered that translates into making really awesome music.
Most artists create art expecting it to stay around for a while. But the case isn’t similar for ice artists. Why? Because there creativity is made of ice, that will melt eventually, they know their creations will turn back into water and seep into the earth or evaporate into the air.
But for Tim Linhart, his ice art turns into something else before it melts: MUSIC.
Linhart founded “Ice Music,” a performing company that puts on concerts of all sorts inside an igloo on, naturally, instruments made of ice.
