Eating with your hands is considered uncivilized and barbaric in some cultures, but did you know there are many benefits to eating with your hands. Benefits such as:

When we touch our food with our hands the brain registers that we are about to eat and in turn revs up our digestive system.

There is a certain bacteria found on our hands and finger tips, this is a good bacteria which protects our immune system. When we eat with out hands we are using that bacteria to help our digestive system, mouth, throat and intestines.

When we pick up food with our hands we can determine how hot or cold it is, thereby protecting out mouth from getting burnt.

When we eat with a fork or spoon we are just shoveling food down our throats not taking the time to chew and taste what we’re eating. When we eat with our hands we slow down chew and taste what we’re eating.
5. Helps in weight loss
Eating with our hands makes us more mindful of what we’re eating and how much we’re eating. You’re also concentrating on eating rather than watching tv or doing something else while eating.
