WWE wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known with the nomenclature ‘The Great Khali’, was severely injured during a promotional event in Haldwani on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old Khali suffered a serious head fracture while fighting Canadian wrestler ‘Bodysteel’ and was taken to Dehradun on Thursday for specialised treatment. If his condition deteriorates he might be sent to Delhi for further care.
Three of Khali’s fellow contestants; Brody, Mike Knox and Apollo Leon attacked him with chairs. The Indian star could not fight back and was left bleeding in the ring.
He was stretchered away and was taken to Birajlal Trauma Centre in Haldwani, where CT scan and X-Rays revealed there was a fracture in his head.
