Google celebrates International Women’s day with a special short video in its doodle that has a message. It has a message about empowerment of women.
The video shows women belonging to different backgrounds, sharing their future plans, ambitions and goals described in animated thought bubbles.
Google spoke to 337 girls and women from 13 countries and asked them to finish the sentence “One Day I will”.
The video features several professional women saying “One Day I Will” talking about their goals and ambitions. It also features Pakistan’s Malala Yousuf Zai where she says ‘one day every girl will go to school’
Here is the video to the special doodle created by Google to mark Women’s Day:
This is the description of Google’s special women’s day video doodle:
“Over the years, Doodles have marked the achievements of women in science, civil rights, journalism, sports, arts, technology and beyond. But for our 2016 International Women’s Day Doodle, we wanted to celebrate the next generation of Doodle-worthy women—the engineers, educators, leaders, movers and shakers of tomorrow”
Liat Ben-Rafael, creator of the women’s day doodle, believes that it was important for her to feature real women in the video, rather than just animated characters.
Women and girls are encouraged to share their stories on twitter and other social media platforms by using the hashtag #OneDayIWill.
