Feeling down? Life just isn’t working out for you? Feeling suicidal? I hope not. For most of these problems you can talk to someone or a family member who can help you get over your problems. But in South Korea the problem is much higher. The suicide rate in South Korea is the highest as compared to any other country.
To combat this issue ‘Death Experience’ schools are being set up around the country to help students combat depression by showing them what it’s like to actually be dead.
No! They don’t kill them but instead they show the kids what it’s like to be dead so they can appreciate life again. You can’t really argue with that logic.
And it’s not just lying down in a coffin. These people go the whole nine yards by writing fake wills, and are even given mock funeral services.
Ok, no jokes though all those kids seem really depressed. Like jeez whats going on man? The general idea is that dwell on the ‘collateral damage’ of death, to think of the pain involved for their relatives left behind and consider the practicalities of their suicide.
The children wake up ‘refreshed’ and ‘liberated’ from their troubles… If only they knew what real troubles are.
